Actually, Its Four Bites In One Night

My host mother isn't home right now, so I get to use the computer without her looking over me disapprovingly. I went out to get dinner with my host sister, and she asked me what was on my face(a little below my left temple) and then I remebered: I have FOUR bug bites, not THREE. o.O I showed her my other bites and yah... she got freaked out. Well, not freaked out, but definately irked. ANYWAYS.

I went book hunting, and ADAM: there are 20 volumes to Angel Sanctuary... do you want ALL 6-20? And GENIE: I can't seem to find any IniD... I'll try the Ohashi Book Off later. BUT! I have ODORU CD LINKS. Check them out and answer ASAP about them if you want them. I'll try betting on them.

I should go study. If anyone can figure out where to get them calendars, let me know.

Bug Bites

You know how most insects die when its gets cold? Well apparently not all of them have died yet, since I managed to get 3 bug bites in one night. Two on my left hand and one on my right forearm. Geez, they're annoying. The bites on my left hand are in the oddest places too: one on the back on my hand and the other on my ring finger, right above my nuckle. Annoying as heck. ANYWAYS. *Stares at the redness of the finger*

Well, its the last day of exams so tomorrow is going to be a "normal" day. I don't know if that's a happy thing or not. I should talk to Hokazono-sensei about that University lecture again. It ended 2 weeks ago, and last week, she told me that I could just sit in that class. o.O Well, I sat through last weeks class, but if I'm going to sit through that class week after week, I rather just have permission to go to the library. Atleast then I can work on my ILC stuff or something.(By the way mom, I got the stuff on the weekend, and I finished the book the day after I got the package, but there's no questions for the English course.) Me and my host mom had an interesting day yesterday, full of lecturing. -_- When I got home, my host mother said that I should get my Alien registration card address updated, which she heard from my host sister(we tried to get me a rental card from the rental shop, but the wouldn't give it to me because my alien registration card said that I lived in Chikushino and not Ogoori). Then we had cake, and she made mention of how messy my room is, and the bag of garbage beside my desk. I tried to lighten the mood a bit by saying that my mess was an "organized mess"(which it is, because all it was was 2 stacks of ILC course books on the floor) and after she laughed at that, she starting nagging at me about all sorts of things. Like how I should ASK when I don't know something(like when the garbage day is), and that I should try to make my bed in the morning, because it looks messy. Well let's see... you're half nagging, half yelling at me about not asking when I don't understand, and expect me to actually do it now? It doesn't help that if she's not in the kitchen, she's hiding in her room(which is this little room in the far back corner of the house) and I don't want to go bother her when she's in there. She's lucky if I ever ask her for the time of day at all now.

She tried striking up a conversation after we had cake and on the way to the City Office to update my card, but I didn't answer much. After the lecture, I just didn't feel like talking, it tired me out. We stopped for ramen on the way home(I hadn't had lunch yet, to which she lectured me some more about that. I swear, she doesn't want me eating at home at all) and we went to the "home centre" after that. I had a blast that that place, because its like Canadian Tire and a little bit like Home Depot mixed, except Japanese style. I found some really neat stuff there, and I plan on going back later by myself to look around some more. I think she's sick of my "no answer" answers, because I keep saying "either is fine" or "maybe". Either way, we got home and I just crashed. I woke up 2 hours later for dinner, after having Yoshie-chan call me down.

This morning, she went about to say that I should eat with my friends today, since today is the last day of exams, everyone should be free. o.O Is it just me, or is she trying to get rid of me? I hate how she says all this too, because its always in an accusing kind of tone. Yes, because I LIKE not speaking to my friends for 4 days straight, and I try to avoid them on purpose. If I could, I would eat lunch with them, but most of them head off right after school. -_- Geez.

Well, it seems like today's blog is full of complaints. I'm going to go look for those things you guys asked me to get for you during this week.(Genie, any particular pairing for IniD? And Adam, how many volumes does Angel Sanctuary have?) , and hopefull send them home by next Monday. Genie, what the HECK was that link you gave me? Please don't tell me its someone from Tenimyu. I've never seen that show before, and frankly, I don't want to. *Laughs, then shudders* I suppose I can understand more Japanese, but only if people use the verbs that I'm learning XD. I'm working on grammar and oral fluency now, cuz my listening is okay. I can usually guess what people mean, but when it comes to making sentences, I forget putting my adjectives into the correct tenses and the stupid particles. I hate particles.

Wow, this has got to be the first time I've finished a post WELL before the bell is going to ring. Maybe I should use this time to study one more time before my kanji quiz next period. ..... Nah.
Ooo, just remembered, pottery class this Thursday (and a visiting exchange student from Malaysia too), looking forward to that. ^.^ Anyways, Ja.

Last Call for Presents

And here we are again. Just had Japanese class, and for some reason it doesn't feel like Monday at all. Feels like a Friday or something o.O Either way, today is another exam day, so school ends after this period. Woot! I'm planning on sending some stuff home first via ship, so I'm gonna try to get alot of my "shopping" done this week. If you guys have anything you want, now's the time to tell me(or remind me, because we all know how forgetful I am.) Oo, just want to know if anyone is interested in these anime 2005 calendars they're advertising. The link is in the title, so if you want one of them, let me know which one and I'll hunt it down for you(I'll most likely find them at the Tenjin Animate store.)

As usual, I say not much has happened, but in reality, I suppose many things have happened, its just that it doesn't seem all that "out of the ordinary" to me anymore. Eto... well, yesterday I went with Yoshie-chan to Yuri-chan's house(my old host family) to study. The Junior High students start their exams today, so they were studying for that. I'm not sure why I went with, but yah.. o.O Since moving to my current host family's house, I never really "missed" living at the Imaizumi's. Sure I kinda missed having a TV in my room, but its more of how at the Taniguchi's house, I feel very useless. I practically have no chores, other than to do my own laundry and vaccum my room once a week. I've tried helping with cleaning the bathtub, but when I asked if it was already cleaned, my host mom was like "go right ahead, you can take a bath" o.O No offence to Taniguchi okaa-san, but she's kinda giving me all the wrong kind of things. For example, she'll talk to me about whatever is on TV when I get home, during dinner, after dinner, but she almost starved me last week by storing all the food away in the pantry and not leaving anything out for me to eat afterschool. I had to rummage through the pantry to find some instant ramen, and while I was doing it, I was in constant fear that she'd get mad at me for going though her pantry without asking.

Usually at Imaizumi-san's, when its garbage day, Okaa-san would ask me to bring down any garbage I have in my room after dinner. This morning, I didn't even know it was garbage day until she asked me to take the garbage out to the curb. It would have been nice to know that yesterday night, because my garbage can is full(stupid cold from last week.) So now I have a bag of garbage sitting beside my desk. Thank goodness its only tissues. At Imaizumi-san's, Okaa-san did my laundry most of the time, but I usually put it out to dry and fold them and sort them when they're dried. It was my way of giving back, since I didn't do the washing, and after I joined badminton, I couldn't take turns washing the bathtub with Yuri anymore. Here, I do my own laundry and everything, but I never have enough hangers to dry my clothes on. I never thought I'd complain about this, but usually, after I've finished all my Japanese homework, I'm sitting in my room at my desk just staring at the wall, waiting to be called down for dinner.

I know I'm not supposed to compare my 2 host family's, but it can't be helped. Sure, the Taniguchi house has its ups, like being near many stores, but I suppose I just haven't gotten used to their lifestyle. Alright, that was a rather random ramble. Sorry I had to put you guys through this.

Wow.. can you believe it? Its been 3 months already! In less than 2 months, I'll be back at home, most likely missing the convenience of public transportation running on time and all the nifty stores. But then again, I'm kinda looking forward to coming home. Sure life in Japan is fun and interesting, but there are just some things that my Canadian friends would understand... especially all my wacko sayings and phrases. Some thing just can't be translated.

Ah shoot, its 12:12. Class worship is supposed to have started at 12:10. I hope I'm not late. Anyways, most likely be online later at home, gonna do a lil shopping before i get home though.
Ja.

-----------------------------------------------------------------
I couldn't find the link yesterday, and after searching all of last night and this morning, I've finally found it again. Frankie, you're not blind, I just forgot to put the title. The link is there now, so you can check it out and see the expensive prettyness.

Random Post

I've got my cosplay pictures up. They're a little small if your screen resolution is set really high, and I didn't get a chance to resize them before posting them, so they'll take a LONG time to load. ^.^;; sorry about that.

Anyways, its after school and I should go get some sleep(stayed up late studing yesterday night) I have things to ramble about... but I need to talk to Hokazono sensei about the university course(it ended and I don't know what I'm supposed to do during 1st and 2nd on wednesdays)

Actually, I COULD stay and type... I do want to talk about what I did yesterday. But then... o.O

Ah yes, Genie: did you try uploading the songs onto the sympatico account? Or does sympatico have some thing against MP3s? And about the Odoru CDs. I can't find them used, so are you willing to pay full price for it? And give me a CD cover or something to work with here! Or I might buy lots of remixed CDs by accident!(Jin-chan lent me the CD today... gonna go home and record it onto the MD ^.^)

Yah, I said I wouldn't stay to blog, and here I am blogging. Okies, I really should get a move on. I have pottery classes starting next week I think. That's going to be interesting. ^.^ Wee~! Holiday tomorrow!(Labour Day) I get to sleep in! Not that its that big of a thing waking up early now, cuz I automatically wake up around 6-7am. o.o Okies, I'll stop saying random things and go home(maybe stop by the supermarket to pick up some baking supplies.. I feel like baking) Ja~!

デートのまえに、彼女はシャワーを浴びます。 XD

Lol, sorry, I HAD to put that as the title. Its one of the sentences I wrote for my homework(during English class this morning), and everyone seemed to get a kick out of it, so why not post it? For those who don't have a clue what it says: Before her date, she took a shower. I don't get why its so funny to them, but w/e. It makes sense to me to clean yourself up before you meet someone. Again, whatever.
Well, I haven't posted in the longest time ever. I haven't been to badminton in the longest time ever too. I should really go. I was working on my costume all of last week, so I didn't go, and this week, (ehehe, and this is the part where some of you guys will kill me) I've gotten sick. Go me, I managed to catch a cold(or according to the Japanese: かぜひた) The beginning of the week wasn't bad, just really tired all the time, but yesterday was hell. You're apparently not supposed to take a bad when you're sick(since everyone uses the same bathtub water, you'd most likely spread your cold to everyone else) but I took one yesterday cuz I love the ofuro too much not to take a bath. I hope the rest of my host family doesn't get sick beause of me. Either way, this morning at breakfast I felt really horrible, but on the way to school I progressively got better. And now my nose is being an idiot. (ばか 鼻水~!) Merg.... =_=
Yes, enough about my cold. I tried looking for vicks yesterday, but the convinence store didn't carry it (not very convient now is it?) Not that I need it anymore.. I need something to un-stuff my nose now. Ahem, okay, I said I'd stop talking about my cold.
Yes, well, on Sunday I went with Yanaga-san, Sasaki-san and Yanaga-san's university friend to ComicCity 2004. The convention didn't start until 11am but I had to wake up at 7 to catch the 7:20am train to Tenjin. Apparently alot of people go(like CN and AN) and you have to line up early to get in early. We got to Fukuoka Dome around 8:30am and we sat around till 11am. It costs 800yen to buy the guide book(which is your ticket in) and if you're cosplaying, you have to (or maybe it was an option) pay an extra 700yen to use their changing rooms and allow people to take your pictures (or was it the other way around?) Either way, changing took about an hour(getting the wig on my head proved to be more difficult that we all thought) The costumes were AMAZING. I took as many pictures as I could, but I was busy hunting down my other group members for group pictures(for a series that apparently no one really knows, alot of people wanted our pictures) and being stopped to have my picture taken as well. The cosplay scene was almost the main attraction of this event(or atleast for my friends) and we spent most of our time in the cosplay zone(the only area you can take pictures, which makes sense because then you won't have the problem of traffic jams infront of the tables). The costumes were AMAZING. Well, most of them. There was (of course) lots of FMA uniformed people running around (mostly Roys, a few Hawkeyes and of course a truck load of Eds) Quite a few MALE Bleach characters too. I'm posting up the pictures onto my new (and most likely soon to be full) freewebs account, so you guys can check them out later.
Oooooooooo~! GENIE~! GOOD NEWS! A: I wrote you a letter(about a week ago, which i should send out) and B: THERE IS ODORU LOVE! Jin-chan has some special edition 2nd movie soundtrack, and guess what: we're dacing to the theme of Odoru for our Gym class dance. XD. Ahem, yes, and also, she told me where she bought it, so tell me which ones you want and I'll go hunt them down!
Eto.. what else. Oh yah, I'm not done rambling about the convention. Yes, it was basically more like a fanworks gathering, because all the tables sold doujins and novels by different circles. I wish I got a chance to look more closely at them and maybe pick up something (which is what that 1500yen i paid was for) but my friends didn't seem all too interested (that and we were busy meeting other cosplayers). You have got to love the Japanese's politeness. When you want to take someone's picture, you (of course) ask really nicely and after you take the picture, you bow,(the cosplayer bows back) and if they have a cosplay site, they give you their name card. That's right, cosplayers exchange name cards like businessmen. I found that extremely amusing and really cool at the same time, since this is how they makes friends from all over Fukuoka and stuff. They look forward to seeing each other at the next event.
Well, bell just rang and I have LHR now. I should get a move on. I'll blog more later, because I know I'm forgetting to mention something.

Swiss Cheese Memory

Just downloaded MSN Messenger onto the university "exchange students" room computer. These computers are OLD. They run WINDOWS 98. Okay, so the computer I have at home uses 98, but trust me, this is like, Windows 98 ver. 1 or something.

Either way, I wrote up a nice long post at home yesterday, but of course, being me, the computer at home refused to sign into anything (Cosplay Lab, Hotmail, Blogger) and I forgot to save it onto my flash drive to post it up today. Meh, I'll do it tomorrow.

I think my interal memory is full. That or a virus is making lots of bad sectors on it.(And that virus would be call lack of sleep+second hand smoke inhalation) I swear, I have no memory what so ever now. The things that I'm learning in Japanese class don't retain as well as it used to. Which is bad, because nothing ever retained well to begin with.

Well, I'm sure I had more to say, but as usual, no time. Gotta make a dash back to the high school building. Ja.

Happy

Boo everyone. Its been a while, hasn’t it? Right now, I’m typing this up on word and guess who I’m talking to? My host brother(who is in Australia right now)Naoto. Typing this up at home, and today has go to be one amazing day. I’ll cover this first, because everything else that has happened since I last posted is at the bottom of my “important things to blog about” list.

Since I moved, I have to get a new teikiken(train pass). I got one this morning with my host sister (her name is Yoshie, and its pronounced “YO-SHI-EH” not the turtle thing from Mario) Either way, we bought the teikiken from one of them “high tech” ticket machines and all we thought of it at the time was “gee, its expensive”. School is school, as usual, but today in home management class we made sweet potato cakes~!(more like sweet potato buns, but its all the same) I have the recipe for it, so we can make it when I come back. Its easy.

Anyways, after school Yanaga-san and I went to work on our costumes. The convention is this coming Sunday, and I haven’t even gotten half of it done yet. (Yanaga-san still hasn’t gotten the wigs and she still has to style them.) Either way, I don’t like their sewing machine because it has one of the weirdest (and to some point, stupidest) designs ever. Instead of having a foot pedal, you have a start stop button near the needle that you push to operate the machine. You set the speed of the needle using a slider on the right hand side of the machine. It’s good because you don’t have to use your feet, but it’s bad because you have less control. For the whole 2 hours I was working with that machine, I broke 1 needle and kept trying to start and stop the needle by moving my foot. It was hard to guide the cloth as well since you had to keep one hand free to push the button. After we worked for a bit, I considered going to badminton, since it doesn’t end till much later and it would be wise not to slack and not go for a whole week. However, I decided not to go anyways, and I’m more than happy that I didn’t go now.

On the way home (with Yanaga-san) I was looking at my teikiken, and we noticed how much more expensive mine was compared to her’s. It didn’t make sense, since she lives further than me from the school. She told me to get to looked at by the station staff, but the staff at the station near the school said I had to take it to the station I bought it at. So I had to face the station staff at Oogori by myself (Yanaga-san gets off a few stations after me.) It didn’t go well. I couldn’t make myself understood in Japanese, but thank goodness this guy (who was registering for a new teikiken) beside me spoke English. He helped me figure out what was wrong, and helped me get the correct card. He apparently studied in Thailand for a year, so that’s why he could speak English (that and something else, but I don’t think it would be fair to put this on the internet without telling him.) After I got the new card (and the new 10,000yen bill in my change) he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call him if I ever need help. I was giddy all the way home. No Ivan, this doesn’t mean you have a new father.

Now comes the really good part. I noticed that he had the same bag and uniform as my host brother (I snooped around his closet. Not like there was anything in there other than his uniform, his school bag, a pair of old runners and stacks of half empty CD cases) I decided to mention the incident to my host mother, because he might be one of Naoto’s friends. I showed my host mom the paper with his number (his name is Seitaro) and my host mother immediately ran to get her cell phone. She looked up the name in her phone book, and lo and behold: its Naoto’s best friend. What a coincidence! She called him, and they rambled on for a bit about the incident (she thanked him for helping me) and about Naoto. I would call Seitaro, just to ask him if he wants to go somewhere (as two associates, not a “date” or what have you) but I have a feeling it will be taken the wrong way. Ah well, maybe I’ll see him around on the way home sometimes.

I’m still talking to my host brother. His English is good. He has definitely picked up lots of Australian slang, but I still understand him. He seems like a really nice guy. I can’t wait to meet him in person. Too bad I’ll only be around for a month after he comes home. Now I wish I was here longer, but at the same time, I wouldn’t mind going home either. His sister on the other hand… I mean, she’s nice (we listened to her MD during the ride to school) but sometimes she keeps to herself too much. Perhaps it’s a result of living with an older brother; she’s learned to keep to herself. It’s just a guess, since I’m not her, and I’ve never been in such a situation.
I think I’ve blathered enough for today. I could still go on about all the other stuff I’ve done during the week, and my interesting neighbours, but I’ll save that for some other time. I had Sir Lankan tea just a while ago, so I’m rather awake. I should make good use of this time to study Japanese. Btw, Adam, I read your comment, and thanks for the heads up. Do you guys have any other ideas of sending songs? And also, Fi: if you wanna send pretty emails, send them to fujiiroyume at hotmail dot com make sure you but something recognizable in the subject, or your pretty email might end up in the trash. (By accident of course.) Alright, going to go work off all the sweets I just ate today (that and maybe throw in some studying while I’m doing those sit ups and push ups) Ja.

Hungry~

I think I'm forever hungry at school. Other than the few minutes after lunch... I'm hungry (or atleast want something to chew on) again. Maybe it would helpt to start off with a bigger breakfast... maybe.

Anyways, today is moving day. I think I called one of my other posts Moving day, but today is the actual day. Its only been 2 months and I'm already having trouble packing everything (I've used up all the space in my luggage carrier and the 2 spare bags I brought with me) I'm going to have to send some stuff home first... that or get another luggage carrier.

I just got a lecture from one of the librarians. Apparently blogging is emailing (even though I tried to explain that this was for school work.. which in a way it is... right mom?) they told me that I could finish today, but afterwards, I'm not allowed to anymore. I don't blame them for thinking its email(you have text fields at the top were the email and title go, and then you have a big text box at the bottom for composing) Merg... I need to talk to Hokazono-sensei about this (because when I get my real work, I'll need "free" access to the internet and I might possibly need access to email as well) Well, atleast they didn't notice I'm on msn. Too bad msn is still being a bum though.

Either way, yesterday I made dinner for my host family as kind of a parting gift. I went shopping by myself and had a hard time trying to find all the ingredients. Got home late (6ish) and started dinner right away. Yuri helped me (thank goodness) but dinner didn't turn out as great as I had hoped. I made deviled eggs, shepards pie, and modified s'mores and the only thing that turned out decent was the s'mores. The deviled eggs were okay I suppose... I mean, how wrong can get with boiled eggs, mayo, salt and pepper? The shepards pie was dry, and the potatoes were a little tasteless, but they said they enjoyed it anyways.(They'd never dis my efforts, especially not on such an occasion.) The s'mores were a little sickly sweet, but that's how they like their desserts, so it was all good. I couldn't find graham crakcers, so I substituted with some almond butter cookies. Those cookies were good on their own too.

I wonder how my new room will be like. According to my host mom (who works with my next host family's grandmother or something) They cleaned the brother's room so its "safe" for me to use it now. o.O He apparently has alot of manga (his sister as well). I wonder if I'm allowed to read some of his stuff.(Manga and stuff, not his personal writings or what have you.) Kinda looking forward to moving (other than the fact they're making me drag all my luggage onto the train, which is going to look extremely weird)

Ooo, random students from other schools checking out the library. I wonder why they have students from other schools coming here all the time... meh, doesn't affect me all that much. I'm surprised they don't parade me around to show their diversity (private schools like having exchange students because it makes their school look like it has "international" appeal and that they "produce" "global business people" which is the number one thing everyone wants to be: a global person)

Oo, Hokazono-sensei just cam to talk to me about my next host family. Maybe I should have told her about the internet thingie. Ah well, do that on monday. Wee~ lunch time. Ja.

More songs for the Pimpage!

Boo, I have to run to Bible class in a sec, but I'll start posting some more song titles for pimpage. I'll be back again after Bible class anyways.

花:ORANGE RANGE
LEGEND:中島美嘉
GIRL TALK/the SPEED STAR:安室奈美恵

Back... MSN is being an idiot. I kinda hope my second host family has better internet access and won't mind me using it. (Apparently they're "rich".. makes sense, the father is a lawyer)

Anywasys, not much has happened between last computer period and now. I've uploaded more pics.. but like my other account, my new account is also full (and I still have like...20 pics to go XD) Andrew(Or Arthur) if you don't mind, could you format and whave have you for me? Thanks (Ooo, and apparently the one you guys did before is acting up. If you could look into that too, that would be great. Thanks.)

Btw, anyone what to get a call? Feel like rambling to someone in English(or Cantonese) Well, lunch time (finally) Ja.

木曜日, 11月 04, 2004

Go Miso Ramen~!

Boo everyone. Yesterday was "Culture Day" so I didn't have school. Instead I went with Yuri to watch some junior high school kids play sports. No offence, that was a bore and a half. Yuri's two friends were there, and we basically spent most of the time paying card games, playing with the younger children there and eating. We barely watched the guys play, but not like it was very interesting. On Tuesday, Yanaga-san asked me if I wanted to go with them to the Tenjin Animate store. I really wish I could have gone with them now. Ah well, atleast I learned a few new card games (and the variations on the ones we already know.. they like to use the jokers)

Anyways, not much happening here... just had lunch and I think I have a favourite in the cafeteria: Miso Ramen. Its not miso soup (as I first thought it would be) Not sure what kind of soup stock it is, but its really good. They also put in this black thing(rather tasteless) and some "ah choy" (no clue what that is in English). There's also this redish paste that you add in which makes it a little spicy. I definately want to learn how to make that. There's also the various Dons they have. Katsu don is my favourite and is... well, katsu(breaded pork) with a half done scrambled egg and saute onions served over rice. For some reason, I don't feel sick eating raw eggs in Japan. o.O strange. I think I've figured out how to make that one... so maybe I'll try it when I get back to Canada.

Okies, enough about food. (Is anyone hungry now? XD) For some reason yestereday, I couldn't sleep. Usually I'm dead tired by the end of the day, and I usually drift off to sleep in a few seconds (that or I fall asleep watching TV or doing my hw on my futon) but last night I brushed, turned off the light, crawled into bed... and felt very awake. I was sore(from sitting on cement all day yesterday, and from badminton most likely) but not tired. I just felt like sometime was wrong. Either way, I fell asleep, and this morning my host mom told me that there was an earthquake last night while everyone was asleep.(around 3am) I recall waking up during the night to some loud thud and a bit of a rumble, but I didn't realize it was an earthquake. Lol, I swear, only I could sleep through an earthquake.

Well, since nothing much has happened, I'll leave it at this for today. I read your comments guys, and yah... ramble all you want: gives me something to do when I'm on the computer(since MSN doesn't seem to love me anymore) Btw, would anyone happen to know of a particualr Japanese cell phone which works in Canada? I asked Ai-chan, and she said that Au(its like Telus in Canada) phones work well in foreign countries... its also the cheapest. I wanna make sure though, because I don't wanna buy a cellphone here if I know its not going to work in Canada. Genie, mind asking Jose for me? Oo, also, you can start the song pimpage... and yah.. just send me the "four seasons" song. I most likely have all of the rest.

Ooo, there goes the chime... seems like its not "sick" anymore (Genie, you'll get this when you get the letter I'm writing you) Ja, gotta go to LHR.

Moving Day

Its been a long time since I've blogged. The Internet has been kinda screwy at school so I had trouble getting blogger to post. I think its workling okay now though. Hopefully.

Nothing much has really happened lately. Last week we had Christainity Education Day. No offence, that was a bore. We had a concert though.. which was interesting for the first hour... then I got sleepy and it got hard to stay awake. The performer (her name is Sawa Tomoe) also played the piano, and she was really good. She had a Q&A the next day, which I think was a little too long (I think she answered ALL the questions the students from our school wrote to her.) She's really amazing, not only cuz she can sing and play the piano, but she is also trilingual. Her mother is Korean, her father is Japanese and she lived in America for a few years, so she can speak all three languages. She had trouble with some of the kanji in people's names, but either way, very impressive.

On Saturday, all the high school students had the Shinken Moshi, which is a big exam they have. Since I didn't have to take it, I didn't have to go to school, but I went after school to go to the festival the university was holding. I met up with Yanaga-san (one of my new anime/cosplay friends) and we met up with her uni friend who is also an avid cosplayer. We talked for a bit, and then we went home together (we take the same train, except I get off at an earlier stop). During the festival, the uni students sitting at the table beside us asked me to take their picture. Kinda freaked me out at first, because I wasn't expecting them to ask me. I did it anyways, and I think Yanaga-san gave me a look(she was buying something to eat at the stall infront of the tables) because I was giving her the "Umm, I think they thing I'm Japanese" and she was giving me the "Do you know how to communicate well enough with them to take their picture?" look. Well, they didn't really notice, and so life goes on. That was interesting though.

I usually try to go out during the weekends, since I don't have time during the week to do so anymore (badminton club is practically everyday afterschool). But on Sunday, I didn't really have anywhere I wanted to go. I considered calling one of you guys, but then when I thought about it... I didn't have anything to say to you guys. There was also the fear that whoever I called wouldn't be home, and I would have wasted my calling card. Either way, I decided to start packing for my move, since I might not have time to do so during the week, since I come home at around 7:30pm after badminton. I haven't bought that much stuff, but my suitcase is already half full, and I haven't even stuffed my clothes in yet. I'm SO going to need to mail some things home first or get another luggage carrier. My host mom was explaining to me about this coming Saturday, which is when I'm going to move to my next host family's house. Apparently I heard wrong or something, but I distinctly remember her saying that the brother was coming back in November. Now it seems that since he's coming back in JANUARY, and I'll be using his room. o.O So I have to wait 2 more months before I get to meet my SECOND Japanese highschool male(At Yuri's English class, there's a highschool guy there, but I haven't seen him lately at English class.) Ah well, atleast I get a bed now... no more putting away the futon in the morning (which is a hassle when you're running late, and I often don't put it away because of that)

I'm so out of shape now. Yes.. that was a bit random. Last week at badminton, I practically died during the warmup. For warm up, the senior badminton team runs up and down 3 flights of stairs 10 times. I died after 7 I think. I didn't want to look weak, so I lied and said that my ankle hurt, which I regret doing so , because afterwards they were extremely concerned about my ankle for the rest of the practice. Then we did10 laps around the gym, alternating between running and various other movements(side steping, lunges, etc... Genie, you know what I'm talking about... its just like badminton classes) I started cramping after maybe 5 laps, and by the 7th lap, I was in too much pain to breathe. I walked out back to the clubhouse (which is like a toolshed connected to other toolsheds/clubhouses) and just sat trying to breathe. I so need to whip myself back into shape.

I think that's basically all I had to ramble about for now. If I haven't mentioned, I'm going to cosplay at a convention that's taking place at Fukuoka Dome. I think its on Nov. 14th (Sunday) so I have 2 weeks to finish my costume. I'm exicted ^.^ Sasaki-san, Yanaga-san and I have been trying to locate the home ec teacher to ask if we can use the sewing room, but she's never around. Perhaps I'm doomed to hand sew everything -_- I'll try to take lots of pics.

I should blog about the school trip (which was like.. a week ago) and I should get those pics up.... Well, I'm off to do that.. wish me luck that I don't die during badminton practice today. Ja.

Btw, Genie... I hacked back into my gmail account: fujiiro@gmail.com start the song pimpage~! Also, could you try finding this song as well: 月のワルツ-諫山 実生

Ooo, one more thing: Ivan- you're too picky~! Can I assume almost anything with wings that isn't revealing is okay? Lol, I got you something when I was in Tokyo(back in September during my orientation) hope it fits (it was cheap, and it made me laugh imagining you wearing it). I'll shop around... do you want food? Give me something to work with here!
